The Wave-Phire™ incorporates a micro-machined sapphire sensor head packaged with a high temperature fiber-optic lead-out to form a unique sensor configuration.
The properties of the Wave-Phire™ make it attractive for harsh atmospheres such as gas turbines and other combustion environments. It is aimed at usage in continuous combustion dynamic monitoring or as a design development tool.

 

PRODUCT FEATURES

o Extreme temperature operation in excess of 1000°C
o Resolution of 2x10-5 of full scale static pressure
o Operates under aggressive chemical and mechanical atmospheres
o Immune to EMI
o Closer proximity to combustion events allows a much larger bandwidth to be reliably monitored and also earlier detection of dynamic events
o Ultimately aimed for closed loop combustion dynamics control

o Full scale pressure ranges: 0 – 10bar, 25bar and 60bar. Other values available per customer request
o Dynamic Measurement Range: Up to full scale pressure
o System Resolution: 2x10-5 of full scale static pressure
o Overload Capacity: 3 times full scale pressure
o Operating Temperature Range:
 -40 to 600°C (continuous use)
 -40 to 1000°C (R&D use)
o System analogue Output: Scalable to ±4V p-p via programmable gain control
o Humidity: 0-100% RH
o Sensor immune to EMI
